Marshall Rosenberg (1934-2015, photo opposite) is the American psychologist who developed Nonviolent Communication (NVC).
What appeals to me about Marshall Rosenberg is that his method is effective. Consider this: he managed to reconcile Palestinians and Israelis, Hutus and Tutsis, Serbs and Croats, whose family members had been killed by their adversaries.
Here, Mr. Rosenberg corrects me. “It is not me who acts, he explains, I cannot heal these wounds. What can one man do to ease all this suffering? But the good news is that we don't have to do anything. When we are in empathic connection with another person, divine energy flows through us; it does the work for us" (Cf. Dénouer les conflits par la CNV, Jouvence, 2006, p. 86).
